Hoy por ser el último día del especial de Jennifer Delucy les traigo una entrevista que amablemente me otorgó la autora que es una excelente persona, como verán en la entrevista. Espero que lean su libro no se olviden que hay concurso para ganarlos AQUI 

Vayamos a la entrevista y me disculpo de antemano porque toda la traducción la hice yo así que si algo está mal lo siento, me avisan por favor y lo cambio.

Today being the last day of the Jennifer Delucy´s special I bring you an interview that the author kindly gave to me, who is an excelent person, as you´ll see in the interview. Hope you red her book and don´t forget there´s a contents to win them HERE 

1-I guess you get asked this a lot, but How did the whole "Seers of Light" idea came to you?
I honestly wrote Seers of Light in a very live-it-as-you-write-it kind of way.  I didn't plan it ahead of time, I didn't really know the details of the story. I had no idea what would end up happening to anyone in the very beginning.  I was about a quarter of the way
through the book before I really started grasping their world, and I loved experiencing the story that way.  It all just clicked into place so perfectly and I'm so grateful for that.  Once I'd finished Seers, I had a good idea of what I wanted to write, so Whisper of Light was born from that.  Now I'm on book three and I know, in general, where it's going, and while I do have a vague outline, I'm still not micromanaging the details.

2- What would you say was your inspiration?
I'm inspired by so many things--nature, music, the human spirit. Reading about near death experiences really sparked a lot of the concepts and lore of the Light Series, and I compiled a lot of music along the way to act as muse, as well.  Each book in the series has its own playlist, in fact, and you can find them on my website.

3- How long took you to write "Seers of Light" and "Whisper of Light"?
Seers of Light took me about five months to write, and Whisper of Light, probably about the same.

4-Are you working in something right now?
I am currently working on book three in the Light Series, which takes readers back to Lily's story and her voice.

5-Is there any of your characters inspired in someone of the real life?
Oh, I would say that all of my characters are inspired by real life people. You write best what you know, right? And, even more than that, I think that most of the characters have a little part of me in them, as well.

6- Who´s your favorite character of the books and why?
That's a tough decision to make. I'm tempted to give a different  answer each time I get this question! lol. I think I'll say Lily today, though, since I'm currently writing in her voice.

7-If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
Love

8- Can you tell me one of your favorite quotes?
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us." - Marianne Williamson

9- I saw you´re a big fan of nature and is always present in your books(which is my favorite part of them... because funny story I´m going to study something environmental related in college) So what´s your opinion about the planet situation? Any special message you would like to send?

First of all, good for you! I'm so glad you're going into a field related to our environment. Also, yes, nature is a hugely important topic for me. I believe that all things in the universe are connected by the same source, so it is really important to treat our living planet with love and respect.  It sustains us, it provides with inspiration and cheer and health and happiness.  We can't just abuse and take and do whatever we want. Everything balances out, so there are consequences. I think I'll always write with that in mind.

10-Was it hard to get published?
It is a frustrating process, yes. You work hard to perfect the process and you field a lot of rejection, but you quickly develop a thick skin because of it.   I really lucked out when I found my publisher. I truly think it was meant to be.
11- After all this you have become one of my inspirations Jenn honestly, nature lover, a really spiritual person, and an amazing writer, things I also wish to be. So what would you tell to people who are trying to be writers and most important to get published?

I would tell them, first, have a strong handle on grammar. That seems obvious, but honestly, you would be surprised how many people try to write a book when they don't even know the basic structures of a sentence.  Also, and I mean this very seriously, don't give up!!!
Whatever you do, don't give up.  You can't expect overnight success and immediate results, especially in the writing business.  Those who persist and are determined—who don't let set backs or failures stop them--they succeed.  Write from your heart, develop your style and have faith in your dream.  You never know when your opportunity will arise if you're heart and eyes are open.

1-Creo que te preguntan esto a menudo, pero ¿Cómo surgió toda la idea de “Seers of Light”?
Yo honestamente escribí “Seers of Light” de una forma vívelo-mientras-lo escribes de cierta manera. No lo planeé con tiempo. Realmente no sabía los detalles de la historia. No tenía idea de lo que terminaría pasándole a nadie en el comienzo. Estaba a un cuarto del libro antes de realmente comenzar a armar su mundo, y amé experimentar la historia de esa manera. Todo encajó en su lugar perfectamente y estoy agradecida por eso. Una vez que terminé con “Seers”, tenía una buena idea de lo que quería escribir, así que “Whisper of Light” nació de ello. Ahora estoy con el tercer libro y sé, en general, hacía donde va, y aunque está tomando forma, todavía estoy micro manejando los detalles.

2-¿Cuál dirías que fue tu inspiración?
Me inspiro en muchas cosas, la naturaleza, la música, el espíritu humano. Haber leído acerca de experiencias cercanas a la muerte realmente provocó una gran cantidad de los conceptos y la tradición de la serie, y compilé bastantes músicas durante el camino de manera que actuaran como musas también. Cada libro en la serie tiene su propio playlist, de hecho, puedes encontrarlos en mi sitio web.

3-¿Cuánto tiempo te tomó escribir “Seers of Light” y “Whisper of Light”?
“Seers of Light” me tomó como cinco meses, y “Whisper of Light” probablemente lo mismo.

4-¿Estás trabajando en algo ahora mismo?
Estoy actualmente trabajando en el tercer libro de la serie, que lleva a los lectores de vuelta a la historia de Lily y su voz.

5-¿Alguno de tus personajes está inspirado en alguien de la vida real?
Oh,  tendría que decir que todos mis personajes están inspirados en gente de la vida real. Escribes mejor lo que conoces ¿no es cierto? Y además de eso, creo que la mayoría de mis personajes tienen una pequeña parte de mi en ellos.

6-¿Quién es tu personaje favorito de los libros y porqué?
Esa es una decisión difícil de tomar. Estoy tentada a dar una respuesta diferente cada vez que me preguntan esto!(risas) Creo que hoy diría Lily, ya que ahora estoy escribiendo en su voz.

7-¿Si pudieras describirte en una palabra, cuál sería?
Amor

8-¿Puedes decirme una de tus citas favoritas?
-Nuestro miedo más profundo no es que seamos inadecuados. Nuestro miedo más profundo es que seamos poderos más allá de la medida. Es nuestra luz, no nuestra oscuridad lo que más nos asusta.

9-Vi que eres una fan de la naturaleza y está siempre presente en tus libros(lo que es una parte favorita de ellos… porque es una historia graciosa voy a estudiar algo relacionado con el medio ambiente en la universidad) así que, ¿cuál es tu opinión acerca de la situación del planeta, algún mensaje especial que quieras mandar?
Primero que nada, bien por ti! Estoy contenta de que vayas a un campo relacionado con nuestro medio ambiente. También sí, la naturaleza es un tema de enorme importancia para mí. Creo que todas las cosas en el universo están conectadas por la misma fuente, por lo que es realmente importante tratar a nuestro planeta viviente  con amor y respeto. Nos sustenta, nos provee inspiración, alegría y salud. No podemos simplemente abusar y tomar todo lo que queramos. Todo se equilibra, por lo que hay consecuencias. Creo que siempre voy a tener esto en mente.

10-¿Fue difícil publicar tu libro?
Es un proceso frustrante, sí. Trabajas duro para perfeccionar el proceso y estás expuesto al rechazo pero desarrollas cierta inmunidad debido a ello. Tuve mucha suerte de encontrar a mi editor. Sinceramente creo que estaba destinado a ser.

11-Después de todo esto honestamente te has convertido en una inspiración para mi Jenn, amante de la naturaleza, una persona muy espiritual y una increíble escritora, cosas que yo también deseo ser. Por lo que, ¿qué le dirías a esas personas que están tratando de ser escritores y más importante de publicar?
Les diría, primero, que tengan un buen manejo de la gramática. Eso parece obvio, pero honestamente, te sorprendería cuando gente trata de escribir libros cuando ni siquiera saben las estructuras básicas de una oración. También y digo esto realmente en serio, ¡No se rindan!
Hagan lo que hagan, no se rindan. No se puede esperar el éxito de la noche a la mañana ni resultados inmediatos, especialmente en el negocio de la escritura. Aquellos que persisten y están determinados, que no dejan que los contratiempos o fracasos los detengan, tienen éxito. Escriban desde el corazón, desarrollen su estilo y tengan fe en su sueño. Nunca se sabe cuando aparecerá tu oportunidad si tu corazón y ojos están abiertos.

Muchas gracias a todos por estos 18 meses con Golden Moon ya que hoy 21 de enero se cumple un año y medio de actividad y todo se los debo a ustedes que sustentan este blog siguiéndolo, comentando, participando. Nunca pensé que mi blog iba a durar tanto pero todavía está aquí y esperen mucho más les aseguro que voy a trabajar muy duro para seguir mejorando 

Reseña de "Whisper of Light"- Whisper or Light Review

Ok, así que estamos de vuelta a otro post del especial de la semana de Jennifer Delucy y dejenme decirles que tengo muchisimo que agradecerle a la autora por lo genial que ha sido conmigo y por proveerme los libros para reseñarlos ha sido un placer. Así que sin más preámbulo la reseña

Ok, so we´re back with another post of Jennifer Delucy´s week and let me tell you that I have so much to thank the author, she´s being great with me, and I have to thank her also for provide the books por review, is been my pleasure. So without further ado the review

Synopsis 

The saying goes that all men are created equal... but Nicole Abbot knows better. Lacking the supernatural gifts of the Sentients she has known all her life, Nicole has lived with her nose pressed to the glass, withering beneath the guilt of her own inadequacies and the disapproving glare of her father. It's easy to believe that the universe has forgotten all about her, but things are not always as they seem. With the arrival of Christian Wright, a handsome but complex Combatant with a troubled history, Nicole is forced to question everything she has ever believed about herself, proving that sometimes, our most flawed perceptions are those reflected in a mirror. 

El dicho dice que todos los hombres son creados iguales… pero Nichole Abbot sabe más que eso. Faltándole los poderes sobrenaturales de un “Sentient” que conoce de toda la vida, ha vivido con la nariz pegada al vidrio, agotada debajo de toda la culpa de su propia inadecuación y la desaprobación de su padre. Es fácil creer que el universo se ha olvidado de ella, pero las cosas no son nunca lo que parecen. Con la llegada de Christian Wright un apuesto pero complejo Combatiente con una historia problemática, Nicole se ve forzada a cuestionarse todo lo que siempre ha creído de ella misma, probando que algunas veces, nuestras percepciones defectuosas son las que se reflejan en un espejo. 

My Opinion-Mi opinión

I´ll start by saying that I enjoyed this book much better than the first one. I don´t know, the way things were going in the story simply made more interested in it. Maybe was also the protagonist of the book, the one that tells the story.
Nicole is a non-sentient she doesn´t have any kind of endowment and that´s why she feels like her family´s black sheep. With a father that doesn´t appreciate her at all and a sick mother she tries to deal with her life the best she can.
The book begins a little bit before the ending of the first book and after five chapters or so, we come back where we left, Christian leaving with Wendell´s group. The first time Nichole sees Christian she is incredibly nervous for no apparent reason and things get a little awkward, is a funny moment actually. So the time passes and they fall in love, but she thinks she´s just a rebound and the things go back to the way they started.
This book was honestly better for me that the first one, and making comparisons I think Nichole is even stronger than Lily, because she had to fight and defend herself without any kind of power and that took guts, and Christian, well I definitely love him.
There´s not too much action in this book as it was in the first, but still is amazing. A topic that´s also very present is the nature, how Nichole living near to a beach, sees how dangerous people can be with the environment. There are a lot more surprises and unexpected things so you shouldn´t stop reading it.  And I have to admit that this book took some tears out of me. I´d love it and I can´t wait to read the third one.

 

Comenzaré diciendo que disfruté este libro mucho más que el primero. No sé, la manera como las cosas iban sucediendo simplemente hicieron todo más interesante en él. Tal vez fue también la protagonista del libro, la que cuenta la historia.
Nicole no es una “Sentient” no tiene ningún tipo de poder y es por eso que ella se siente como la oveja negra de la familia. Con un padre que no la aprecia en lo más mínimo y una madre enferma, ella trata de lidiar con su vida lo mejor que puede.
El libro comienza un poco antes del final del primer libro y más o menos cinco capítulos después, estamos donde nos dejó el final del libro anterior, Christian se va con el grupo de Wendell. La primera vez que Nichole ve a Christian ella está increíblemente nerviosa sin ningún motivo aparente y las cosas se vuelven incómodas, en realidad es un momento muy gracioso. Así que el tiempo pasa y ellos se enamoran, pero ella piensa que es solo un reemplazo(de Lily por supuesto) y las cosas vuelven a como comenzaron.
Este libro fue honestamente mejor que el primero, y haciendo comparaciones creo que Nicholes es incluso más fuerte que Lily, porque ella tiene que pelear y defenderse sin ningún tipo de poder y eso conlleva agallas, y Christian, bueno yo definitivamente lo amo.
No hay tanta acción en este libro como en el primero, pero sigue siendo genial. Un tema que también está presente es la naturaleza, como Nichole viviendo cerca de una playa, ve lo peligrosa que la gente puede ser con el medio ambiente. Hay muchas más sorpresas y situaciones inesperadas, por lo que no deberían dejar de leerlo. Y tengo que admitir que algunas lágrimas este libro sí me saco. Lo amé no puedo esperar a leer el tercer libro.

My final calification therefore is a super five star because I ADORE this book.
Mi calificacion final por lo tanto son cinco lunas porque ADORÉ este libro.

Jennyfer Delucy´s Tour

Hola a todos de nuevo hace muchísimo que no posteaba nada como siempre, por lo que les haré un pequeño resumen de lo que ha sucedido en mi vida. Mi novio me dejó he estado triste blah, blah, blah, pero ya estoy mejor y de vuelta(para aclarar eso del novio ya fue hace mucho) pero en fin les traje una sorpresa, Jennyfer Delucy´s es la autora de una trilogía que se compone hasta ahora de "Seers of Light" y "Whisper of Light" y comenzó un tour digital con sus libros y yo me apunté así que esta semana la voy a dedicar a esta gran autora con muchas sorpresas cada día. Hoy por ser el primer día les tengo la reseña de su primer libro. Oh y les comunico que este va a ser un post biligüe español-inglés.  

Hey everyone is been long since the last time I posted something, as always, that why I´ll sum it up for you. My boyfriend dumped me, I was sad, blah, blah blah, but I´m better and back, just to be clear the dumping was long ago, but I have a surprise for you guys.

Jennyfer Delucy´s is the author of a trilogy of two books so far "Seers of Light" and "Whisper of Light" and she started a digital book tour and I signed in, so that´s why this week is going to be dedicated to her, with surprises every day. For the first day I´ll give you the Seers of Light review. Oh and this is going to be a bilingual post spanish-english.

Así que aquí tienen la reseña y la sinopsis. So here´s the review and the synopsis.

Sinopsis-Synopsis

Lillian Hunt has never truly lived. Always sensing more to the world than is easily perceived, she fears that her instincts are stubborn flights of fancy, or worse, mental instability. But some things—disappearing strangers, tangible dreams, and visits from malevolent creatures—cannot be ignored. Before it's too late, Lillian is ripped from the only existence she’s ever known and thrust into a reality that she always suspected, but could scarcely believe. She must learn the truth about who she is, the powerful beings that wish to destroy her, and the two men who would die to protect her.

Lillian Hunt nunca ha vivido realmente. Siempre sintiendo más de lo que era fácilmente percibido en el mundo. Ella teme que sus instintos son fantasías testarudas, o peor, inestabilidad mental. Pero algunas cosas, extraños que desaparecen, sueños vívidos, y visitas de criaturas malévolas no pueden ser ignoradas. Antes que sea demasiado tarde, Lillian es arrancada de la única existencia de la que ella ha sabido y lanzada a una realidad de la que ella siempre sospechó pero apenas podía creer. Ella debe aprender la verdad acerca de quien es, los poderosos seres que desean destruirla, y los dos hombres que morirían para protegerla. 

Mi opinión-My opinion

I think this book was great, honestly it was a little hard read it in the computer but even so is an amazing book. The way that Jenn has of writing is wonderful, I mean is well balanced, not too much descriptions and enough dialogue.

Another aspect is that is the first time  I read a story about a woman and not a teenager. Lily Hunt is a 28 years old woman who suddenly discovers that she´s a pathcrosser, this means that she can help spirits past from being some sort of “ghosts” to the other life.
I like how Jenn explains everything about the universe, the energy, everything is so well explained that you dive into the story. She gets rescued by Christian who is also a Sentient  from a vampire attack and he takes her to a house where people explain her what she is.
When she gets there she knows William, a vampire, but he has something different that would really surprise you if you ever read the story, and I have to say, doesn´t seems like any other story so, don´t open this book thinking about find the I wanna drink your blood kind of vampire.
Lily is a woman with a strong personality who falls for him but not immediately but with time, and everything falls into pieces also in the right time. And the end let me tell you is complete unexpected leaving the right amount of loose ends for the next book that is about Christian. 

My final calification a four star just because the book took me so long to read and sometimes there where too much tears. I mean I´m not a big fan of sobbing and in some parts there is too much of that. 

Pienso que este libro fue genial, honestamente fue un poco dificil de leer en la computador pero incluso así es un libro increíble. La forma de escribir de Jenn es fantástica, quiero decir está bien balanceada, sin demasiadas descripciones y con suficiente diálogo.

Otro aspecto es que es la primera vez que leo una historia acerca de una mujer y no una adolescente. Lily Hunt tiene 28 años y de repente descubre que es una “pathcrosser”, es decir ella puede ayudar a los espíritus a pasar de ser algún tipo de fantasmas a la otra vida.  

Me gustó como Jenn explica todo acerca del universo, la energía, todo está tan bien explicado que uno se sumerge en la historia. Ella es rescatada por Christian quien es también un Sentient o “Sensible” de un ataque con un vampiro y la lleva a una casa donde otras personas le explican lo que es. 

Cuando llega allí conoce a William, un vampiro, pero hay algo diferente que les sorprenderá a todos si alguna vez leen la historia, y tengo que decirlo, no se parece a ninguna otra historia, así que no abran este libro pensando encontrar un vampiro de la clase quiero beber tu sangre

Lily es una mujer de carácter fuerte que se enamora de él pero no inmediatamente, pero con el tiempo, y todo cae en su lugar también a su tiempo. Y el final déjenme decirles es completamente inesperado, dejando la cantidad exacta de cabos sueltos para el siguiente libro que es acerca de Christian.  

Mi calificación final son cuatro "estrellas" solamente porque tardé mucho en terminar el libro y algunas veces había demasiadas lágrimas. Quiero decir no soy una fanática de los sollozos y en algunas partes había demasiado de eso.
